I MAKE NEW FRIENDS EVERY DAY IN CENTRAL PARK

Hi....Mummy walks me every day in Central Park, and I love it! I meet so many other dogs and am making new friends. I wanted to do a column here on my blog just about my new buddies but don't know how to do it......

Yesterday I met up with LOLA. She's a BERGAMASCO, otherwise known as an Italian sheep dog...and a big shaggy girl! I love playing with big dogs...

. Lola's mummy is an Australian woman just like my mummy! What a coincidence.... Her name is Trudy and she is a chef ........I'm waiting to see what she's going to cook for me??? But I think Lola only eats organic dog food! She's not being too spoilt.

Trudy tells me that Lola just loves to lie on her back with her paws up in the air! Not a very ladylike position?

I SAW A DEER OUT THE WINDOW!

Hi...good morning. Well, there I was sitting on a chair next to Mummy while she was doing computer stuff..........and guess what! there was a little deer staring at us right next to the window.

Mummy tried to grab her camera quickly and get a shot of me looking out the window at the deer....but she wasn't fast enough!

The deer saw me and ran away!!!!

MUMBAI WANTS TO JOIN THE NFL!

Hi....it's Mumbai...
Well, as you are learning , I am enjoying playing all kinds of different sports.....

Now Mummy told me it is the beginning of the football season. Wow! My kind of game....running and dodging other players....well that's what I do when I'm playing with Mummy sometimes....I let her get close to me and then take off real fast as soon as she's about to grab me!

so I said, "Mummy, I need an outfit to go out on the field with so I look like the other players".....and being a good mummy, she took me shopping......

And, here I am!!! Now I'm ready to outrun them all and get a touchdown!! Here I come.....................

LABOUR DAY WEEKEND

Hello....well Labour Day has come and gone....and now they tell me it means the end of summer?
Does that mean Mummy won't take me to the beach anymore?
that is my favourite thing to do..........



I didn't do a lot but did go shopping in Southampton with Mummy.....I was feeling a bit bored and restless........and in one of the stores , well, I was really a bad boy.....I ran out of the store and took one of their scarves with me! It was a joke! But I don't think Mummy was too happy .............

And then we went to Saks, and the girls in the cosmetic department were playing with me and wanted to give me a makeover......but didn't think blue eyeshadow was quite right for a puppy!




















Mummy had a lunch with a whole group of her friends.....and there was a chair for me at the table..........mmmmmm I loved the salmon! Anyhow, got lots of attention and had fun playing with Liz and Pat's dogs.......here I am with some of Mummy's friends.........















Jasmine was so exhausted after all the running around she found a comfy cushion outside and had a nap......














Anyhow......back to the city....and I am going to interview dogs in Central Park to write about.........

Hello.....

HI............how are you all?
I am happy to get letters and stories from all my new buddies out there by the way......


Mummy had a dinner party and film screening the other night.....she always has a chair for me to sit on. She knows that I love to be a part of the group. And sitting on a chair seems so normal to me now.
















I was a bad boy the other day! I was running outside and digging in the garden and got so dirty! I know Mummy wasn't too happy with me. But, oh, how wonderful.........she put me in a bubble bath and let me play and then washed me. I know she likes me to be clean so I can go up on the bed......I must admit I get a lot more attention when I look good!

















And I want to introduce you to my dog walker Zad........when we are in Manhattan, he takes me out sometimes for a walk when Mummy is busy. Here you can see Zad and 2 of my friends Oscar (he's the big guy), and Fusil who belongs to s friend of Mummy's who lives in our building................















Well, that's it for now.......not a lot to report....just wanted to stay in touch...........

ANOTHER FUN WEEKEND......

Hi it's Mumbai.
Well we had a great weekend and no rain! So I got to be outside a lot....


Mummy made breakfast on Sunday
with a few of her friends...and of course set a fun table...and there was a chair for me this time! She made parfait in a glass with granola yogurt and berries....but I didn't really like that! And I think that was wine in the glass....wine for me???? am I at drinking age yet?????


















And then Mummy took me for my first swim in the pool.....she told me that all dogs know how to do dog paddle....but I was a little scared...my first instinct was to get out! Maybe I'll get better, but for now i am not sure if swimming is my thing! I couldn't wait to just lie back down on a chaise , dry out and read the NY Post.......

































I have been dying to try out my driving skills...but when I was in Mummy's car it was hard to see over the steering wheel.

The other morning when we went into town for a coffee ( water for me!)....lo and behold! What did I see but a car that was the perfect size for me!
















The car belonged to a little boy..he was the same size as me. He told me that it ran on a battery....but the battery was flat! Probably a good thing....can you imagine me racing down Main St in this????? A Cadillac Jeep -mini mobile.......Wow....what a sight that would have been.!!??

I wish Mummy could get me one of these...then she wouldn't have to walk me...I could take myself to the pet store for food...to the beach for a walk.....endless thoughts running through my mind...........

Just want to say that the "Bill" I'm talking about that's causing all the big waves, is not the same Bill as my buddy Bill Clinton.......Mummy said that sometimes he causes waves....but not this time! did you see me and mummy and Bill??

BILL IS COMING!

Hi.....me again.....
I'm in Southampton....Mummy and I had breakfast at Hampton Coffee in Watermill.....I love sitting at the table. Guess it's a habit I picked up in Europe, but then again, I'm a little person inside the body of a dog! Mummy and I had the same to eat, granola and yogurt....yum yum.....







Then we went for a walk down to the beach....wow! The beaches are closed for swimming because Bill is coming. Mummy said that's a hurricane and big winds and big tides and all this causes big waves. The waves were covering the whole beach. what about my beach walk and run and playing with a ball?? Can't do it! Oh well maybe tomorrow????

So don't try to go swimming if you live near here....Mummy says it's dangerous.........

I LOVE WHERE MUMMY AND I LIVE......

Hi....good morning...

My Mummy and I live in a great building in New York on the Westside.

My favourite thing each morning is to greet each of the doormen and concierges when I am going out for a walk. I think i am a favourite...and that's coz I am always happy to see them and wag my tail.....some of them have little treats in their pockets and surprise me when i come back from a walk.........

Anyhow, here are some of them I saw yesterday when Mummy and I were leaving to go to the beach.......





The man in red is our manager...he's really cool! He was going off to play golf...I haven't learnt to play that yet...but watch out! It could happen.....I love playing all games, and especially anything with a ball..........

If any of the people who work in my building see this......Good Morning!

WOOF.....WOOF!!!

DO I NEED TO DO MY HAIRCOLOUR ??????

Hi....I think I was a bad boy this weekend!
I have a new habit that is driving my Mummy crazy! I love digging in one spot in the garden.......and as perfect as I looked a few days ago.......yesterday , well, look and see..........my paws are black! I can't help it...I love digging! But Mummy said it looks like I need my haircolour done!

Her new thing is to put me on this big white floating chair and send me out into the middle of the pool.....not sure i like it yet, but might get used to it.......



Think what I really love is running on the beach........I am not sure about swimming...when the waves come near me I run back.....but it's a great place for meeting other dogs......Mummy throws a ball and I get to run real fast...it's a great feeling of freedom.......not like when I'm in the city and have to walk on a leash.......










Love playing in the sand and making sand castles...well sort of! But boy, when it gets as hot as it is today I just want to get a bit of shade...now who was the clever person who put this umbrella up for me?

On Sunday Mummy had some friends over for dinner....and guess what? they brought doggy playmates for me to have some fun with so I wouldn't feel too left out.....but that Neruda! He's a big Lab....and he just loves to jump in the pool and then get everyone wet when he shakes the water of himself! I think I can run just as fast as him too.........

Anyhow, Mummy set the table for dinner with a seat for me........but more people came than she expected so I had to just play with the other dogs and not pretend to be the grown up I am as I was in europe and sittting at every restaurant..........


Well......that was some of my weekend......how was yours????

Oh.......Mummy went to a luncheon, and a lady did a caricature (?)...new word for me...anyhow, it's of Mummy ( but doesn't look a lot like her), and me!!!!!

A PERFECT GROOMING......

Mumbai had a grooming today. And let me tell you how spoilt he was!

He had 2 thorough baths with an organic shampoo...
A 10 minute massage in the bath.....
Hand dryed
Teeth brushed....
And a Blueberry Facial......

I went to a new place called Central Park Dog Spa on West 57th Street.....

What a pampering! Do we all want to come back as Mumbai??????

MUMBAI AND HIS EXCITING ADVENTURES

Hello.....let me introduce myself to you....my name is Mumbai. I am a Havanese puppy...we are a breed that comes from Cuba....but more about that later.

I am a very lucky guy, I have a special Mummy who takes such good care of me, and in June took me with her to Europe. Can you imagine my excitement?

I would like to share with you some of my stories from that trip, and then as life goes on, I would like to tell stories of my life in New York.....that's where I live...most of the time anyhow.
